Flood Information
Immigration
Last updated November 1, 2011
As of November 1, the Thai Government has not yet announced procedures for foreigners who are unable to extend their visas or leave Thailand due to the flooding. Thai Immigration is handling flood-caused visa overstays on a case by case basis. If you have not been able to extend your residence or retirement visa because of flooding, for instance because your usual immigration office is closed, you should contact the main Thai Immigration Office phone number at 02-141-9889.
As of November 1, 2011, the Thai Immigration office at Chaengwattana Rd has relocated to Chamchuri Square Building (18th Floor) and to the Immigration Bureau Office at Soi Suan Plu (1st Floor, One Building) until further notice. For more information, please check their websites at: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/intro1.html or http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php.
