Embassy Speaker Program Talks about Study in the U.S…and Pop Culture!
Embassy Speaker Jennifer Bah traveled to Phitsanulok on September 22 to talk with students at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University and Chalermkwansatree School. More than 200 high school and university students attended Jennifer’s presentations about “Studying in the U.S.,” which covered a range of interesting topics. The students were particularly eager to learn about opportunities to study in America and scholarships that could possibly help fund their study.
The group of enthusiastic students from Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University asked Jennifer about programs that provide the chance for students to work and travel in the U.S., and then listened attentively as Jennifer provided information on the Summer Work and Travel Program, the Au Pair Program, and other options for working while studying in the U.S. The students from Chalermkwansatree School used the chance to test their English skills, asking an array of questions about education and American popular culture. The group was particularly interested in high school exchange programs to the U.S. and whether Jennifer personally knows Miley Cyrus!
