Indiana Artist John Domont Visits Thailand
Indiana artist John Domont is visiting Thailand from November 16-26 to conduct art workshops and seminars throughout the country. Mr. Domont currently has five paintings on exhibit at Ambassador John’s official residence in Bangkok, three from his “begging bowl” series and two depicting the Indiana landscape. Mr. Domont’s paintings are part of a larger exhibition of works on display at the residence by American artists, all of whom have ties to Indiana, the Ambassador John’s home state. Since arriving in Thailand, Mr. Domont has conducted workshops with a number of university student groups, as well as artists from the Nakhonpathom Disabled People Association. An exhibition of Mr. Domont’s work is also currently on display at the Thai National Gallery on Chao Fah Road in Bangkok through December 19.
