Administrative Court Learns about Internet Search Techniques and Copyright Awareness
On May 13-15, 2008, 48 lawyers, researchers, librarians and officers from the Administrative Court attended 3-hour training sessions on Internet search techniques and copyright awareness in the U.S. Embassy. The trainings, conducted by IRC Director Supiengpitch Bhuyatorn, were customized to suit the Court's needs. Participants learned how to use advanced search techniques in popular free search engines, how to evaluate the information from the Internet, and how to use the information without copyright violation. They also learned about free law databases, including Thomas, Cornell University Law Database, and FindLaw, and in which they practiced searching court cases and Supreme Court decisions.
