The Art of Public Diplomacy
Anne Casper, Public Affairs Counselor at the U.S. Embassy, was honored to be invited to speak to an audience of around 60 monks and interested participants at the Maha Mongkut Raj Wittayalai University, Wat Bovornives, on December 27. The program was part of a seminar on public speaking for monks who teach children about Buddhism in Bangkok and other provinces. She presented a talk on "The Art of Public Diplomacy" and then engaged in a lively discussion with participants in Thai and English. The wide range of topics covered included religion in America, U.S.-Thai relations, and cross-cultural communication.
