Ambassador Kristie Kenney along with a group of U.S. Marine Guards visited the Camillian Home for Children Living with Disabilities in Lat Krabang to distribute toys donated by the U.S. Embassy staff and family as a part of Toys For Tots, our annual New Year charity drive.

Ambassador Kenney and crew members from the USS Mustin visit the Flood Relief Operations Center at Don Muang to announce a 300,000 baht donation to the Thai Red Cross. What makes this donation extra special is the Sailors donated their own personal money to the people of Thailand to assist with flood relief.

On October 20, Ambassador Kenney visited the Flood Relief Operation Center to announce that the United States government is providing an additional 15 million Thai baht in humanitarian assistance to support flood relief efforts in Thailand.

On September 21, Ambassador Kenney visited Tham Hin refugee camp in Ratchaburi province. Tham Hin refugee camp is home to nearly 8,000 Burmese, the majority of whom are members of the Karen ethnic group, who have fled war in their native land.
